C'mon guys! You can do better than this. I read the term "jackrabbit starts" and it brought me back to 1978, which is the last time I heard it. That time was awful. The economy was crap, gas prices were on the rise, there was a/an (perceived) ineffective democratic president at the helm, we were still smarting from losing face in Vietnam. Sound familiar? Frankly, I'd personally love it if we had gas prices on par with Europe, but we need their plucky attitude as well. I'm not looking forward to another overcompensation rebound consumerist backlash when the economy finally picks back up.
